A bright new makeover for the Lighted boat parade!

Big changes are coming to one of this year’s Windjammer Days boat parades, and they’re designed to make the event bigger, better, and safer for everyone involved! What was once known as the Lighted Boat Parade has evolved into the Windjammer Days Decorated Boat Parade, an exciting transformation that invites more creativity and more opportunities to join the fun—without the issues of navigating in the dark.
Starting earlier this year at 7 PM, the new format allows for a stunning display of decorated boats before nightfall, ensuring every colorful detail can be appreciated in full view. This shift means more boaters can participate without the late night clean up in the dark making it a more inclusive and dynamic event for the entire community. And that’s not all—this year, participants have even more reasons to bring their A-game. In addition to the thrill of showcasing their vessels decked out in spectacular designs, boaters will have the chance to compete for three cash prizes:
🏆 First Place: $400
🥈 Second Place: $200
🥉 Third Place: $100
Plus, every participant receives a $50 fuel card from our generous sponsor Hodgdon Marina as a heartfelt thank-you for joining in on the celebration! This earlier hour includes the added bonus of a watch party and winner celebration at Mine Oyster. Cheer on your favorite boats from the deck of Mine Oyster and stay for the prize announcements.
